Herbs to healthy, happy kidneys and bladder… Cheers!

Our kidneys and bladder are part of our body which are easy to neglect-drinking too little clean clear water passing them, and eating too much salty, refined foods.

The following herbs, which are found in our kidney and bladder herbal tea, are known to have a positive, cleansing effect on these organs:-

Petroselinum Crispum (Parsley): A General tonic, diuretic, prevents kidney stones.

Urtica dioica (Stinging nettle): Diuretic, detoxifying, astringent, restorative, prevents kidney stones

Solidago virgaurea (Golden rod): Diuretic, treats kidney  stones and urinary infections. This herb reduces inflammation. It is often used as a bladder antiseptic. It is also an antispasmodic

Medicago sativa (Alfalfa): A diuretic and it alkalises the body. It cleanses toxins from the tissues

Plantago psyllium (Plantain): Astringent, diuretic, soothing, detoxifying, antispasmodic reduces inflammation. Also anti-bacterial

Mentha (A variety of mints): Carminative, antispasmodic, anaesthetic

The above combination of herbs has been known to provide relief to sufferers of Kidney and Bladder complaints, prompting better Kidney and Bladder function and relieving
backache due to these problems.

Caution: Avoid if you are taking anti-rejection drugs for kidney transplant.
Avoid if pregnant or breast-feeding. Avoid if you have heart or kidney
disease. Contra indicated if you have an autoimmune disease or are using
blood thinning agents.

Dose: Drink 1 cup of tea 1-2 times daily

To Make Tea: Put I tsp herbs in 1 cup boiling water. Cover and stand for 10 minutes, then
strain, Drink hot of cold without sugar. Try to stop using sugar where ever possible.  Do not take herbal remedies continuously.
