We have a new 100% pure essential oil… Lemon Tea Tree (Leptospermum petersonii)…

Grown and distilled in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa

Lemon Tea Tree (Leptospermum petersonii) oil is chemically very different from the Tea Tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) oil. It has high contents of citral, citronellal and geraniol. This oil has significant anti-infectious qualities and is anti-fungal and anti-viral.

Unlike Melaleuca alternifolia, it is not advisable to put this oil directly onto your skin because of the high citral content. In other words, it needs to be diluted with a carrier oil, or in a cream. This being said, it is a safe, non-toxic oil.

How is this oil useful?

Lemon Tea tree has anti-inflammatory effects and has proved useful in the treatment of Rheumatoid arthritis and nerve inflammations.

Proves active against viruses such as herpes and shingles.

It has anti-fungal properties and is helpful in the treatment of skin fungal infections.

Low concentrations of the oil have a calming and  sedative effect and help with cases of insomnia and mild-depression.

A 20% dilution has shown to be effective in repelling mosquitoes and fleas.

Topical use on children under 7 is not advised.
